Objectives

The aim of the project 4Z (from Slovak “Zisti- Zviditeľni- Založ- Zmeň”, meaning “Discover- Visibilize- Found- Change) was to support the participation of young leaders and youth leaders in identifying the newly-emerging needs of vulnerable groups and subsequently improving the quality of life of vulnerable groups of young people in society by strengthening their direct civic involvement. The goal of the project was to motivate young people from vulnerable groups directly (or to motivate the young people voluntarily working with vulnerable groups) to DISCOVER and VISIBILIZE the emerging needs of vulnerable youth groups and prepare them to FOUND youth informal groups or youth non-governmental organizations with the vision of supporting CHANGE in the quality of life of young people. The project specifically aimed at: - Strengthening the civic and social competences of young people from vulnerable groups in order to identify and communicate the emerging needs of vulnerable youth groups - Creating space for the training of young/youth leaders by forming, founding, leading and developing informal groups, or youth non-profit organizations - Accompanying young/youth leaders through the first steps in founding their own informal groups or non-profit organizations The very intention of the project was contained in the name of the project, where each word describes a specific milestone: Discover - focus on mapping the needs of young people Visibilize - focus on the communication of the obtained information and the advocacy of the needs of vulnerable groups of young people Found - focus on the process of founding/forming an informal group/non-profit organization Change - focus on the preparation of the first projects reflecting the identified needs of young people
