Objectives

With the advancement of technology and the increased use of digital materials in today's world, digital learning has become deeply embedded in our lives. Digital learning is a model that utilizes technology to make the access to information and the learning process independent of time and space. One of the digital learning methods highlighted in this project is learning through simulation. This teaching technique is applied by substituting artificial elements for real ones in situations where it is difficult or dangerous to reach, allowing for the acquisition of new knowledge and skills. For instance, instead of undergoing costly and potentially hazardous training with actual aircraft, a student in pilot training can acquire basic skills through a digital simulator more easily and cost-effectively. The pandemic conditions introduced by Covid-19 have not only affected basic education but also various social and sports education negatively. This underscores the importance of digital education and the need for its development. Especially for young people who have had to lead a passive life at home during this period, digital learning methods have become crucial activities. Through these educational methods, individuals can acquire new knowledge and skills in their living environments, such as learning a new language or playing a new musical instrument. In technical high schools and universities, where many practical skills (such as electrical and mechanical) need to be taught, the pandemic has resulted in theoretical teaching only, with no opportunity for practical application. The development of simulators from digital learning methods allows these educational activities to be learned realistically. Even during regular school terms, simulators developed through this project can provide primary practical training for devices that schools may not have the budget to purchase or whose alternatives are expensive. Another benefit of digital learning methods is the prevention of energy pollution and the avoidance of unnecessary energy consumption. Even someone who needs to undergo driver training can prevent unnecessary energy consumption and environmental pollution while learning the fundamentals of this training. When these examples are multiplied, and digital learning methods are increased worldwide, cumulative benefits can be achieved. Another crucial area where simulator use is important is in enhancing physical skills that may initially be hazardous to learn. This includes some sports activities such as skiing and rafting. As the Goodhands youth group, we aimed to draw attention to the importance of digital learning and contribute to the increasing application of these methods in the future through this project.
