Our project called "Leaders of Tomorrow" was an 8-day program within the scope of Erasmus+ Youth Exchange. The main objective of this program was to respond to the needs and challenges faced by the partner organizations and participants through non-formal education methodology. These needs and challenges included lack of awareness about youth work and non-formal education, low level of employability among young people, poor youth participation and lack of knowledge about Erasmus+ and European Union opportunities. The main objectives set by our project were to raise awareness on youth work and non-formal education, to enable participants to understand and develop their understanding of these concepts and factors, to empower young people personally and professionally through the exchange of good practices, experiences, tools and methodologies. Furthermore, by providing mentoring and communication skills to its participants, the project aimed to promote more active participation of young people and combat youth unemployment in the participating countries. In order to tackle the identified challenges, a framework was created that brought together participants from various developed and developing countries such as Norway, Estonia, Spain, Macedonia, Macedonia, Turkey and Morocco. This diversity allowed the participants to share their knowledge, experience and competencies with each other, thus making the project more inclusive and effective. In addition to increasing knowledge and awareness about youth work and non-formal education, our project contributed to improving soft skills and employability, promoting youth participation, networking and partnership building in the civil society organizations sector. The methods and tools acquired by the participants helped them to grow as future leaders and learn how to manage projects and facilitate activities. The SEMPATİ-DER organization and other supporters provided important opportunities for participants to develop their knowledge on the topic, build partnerships and strengthen collaborations. Participants were empowered to become future youth workers by applying the skills and competencies they learned in their communities. Our project focused on key tasks such as promoting youth work and non-formal education, developing participants' soft skills, increasing youth employability and participation, promoting respect for diversity and supporting intercultural and interreligious dialogue. It also facilitated the participants and organizations to cooperate together for future projects and follow-up activities by providing the possibility to increase knowledge about Erasmus+ and European Union opportunities and to create new collaborative projects with non-formal methodologies.
