The aim was to encourage young people to engage in active athletic lives in general, to develop solidarity among young people, especially in order to strengthen social cohesion in the European Union, to promote mutual understanding among young people in different countries, to contribute to the development of the quality of support systems for youth activities and the capacities of civil society organizations in the field of youth, and to promote 'European cooperation' in the field of youth.
