The primary objective of our initiative was to reinforce the active participation of young individuals in the realms of policy-making and democratic processes. We aspired to augment the competencies of youth workers, particularly in areas such as cultural diversity, identity, and intercultural learning. Among our pivotal goals were the promotion of intercultural dialogue, ensuring participants are well-acquainted with the core values of the European Union, and fostering an environment where youth workers can seamlessly exchange experiences and integrate their expertise. We were committed to enhancing participants' proficiencies in diverse areas, including identity, culture, and combating prejudices. Furthermore, our endeavor was geared towards establishing robust collaborations across Europe and amplifying our institutional capabilities. It's noteworthy that our project was intricately designed to address pressing challenges, such as discrimination and social exclusion, especially concerning disadvantaged youth. We also placed significant emphasis on raising awareness about EU citizenship rights and fortifying the active societal engagement of the youth.
The reason for our application to this project was our aim to address the core topics of E+ projects in an international multicultural environment. Our pursuit of solutions to the rising issues of Islamophobia, xenophobia, and radicalization in Europe was intended to encourage participants' active involvement in policy-making and democratic processes. In line with the EU's principle of "Unity in Diversity," we sought to support the coexistence of individuals from diverse cultures. Our project aimed to enhance the participation of young people in policy-making and to improve the knowledge of youth workers on cultural diversity. Among our project's objectives were: promoting intercultural learning and dialogue in youth work, enabling participants to learn and discover EU values, supporting youth workers in sharing and integrating their experiences, enhancing participants' knowledge and skills on identity, culture, and prejudice, and encouraging collaboration and partnership initiatives in Europe. Additionally, we aimed to strengthen our institutional capacity.
