The main objective of this project is to develop a good practice booklet that local governments and rural tourism practitioners can follow by working together with young people to develop an innovative, sustainable, accessible and applicable renovation model in rural tourism areas. In addition to these goals, the results we want to achieve with the project are as follows: * Increasing intercultural dialogue * Encouraging collaborations with different disciplines *Compiling the application information needed by rural tourism destinations *Producing outputs in EU standards by carrying out transnational studies *Designing events in EU standards *Informing young people about EU projects
Rural tourism, an increasingly popular form of alternative tourism, involves visiting rural settlements to enjoy natural environments and experience distinct cultures in settings far from the hustle, noise, and pollution of urban areas. A significant aspect of enhancing rural tourism involves the restoration and rejuvenation of old buildings in rural localities. Such restorations not only help in preserving cultural heritage but also transform these assets into touristic attractions. However, it's important to note that not all restoration efforts equally prioritize nature, the environment, and cultural integrity. This project aims to investigate research studies and restoration activities in rural tourism regions to boost professional skills in tourism and landscape architecture while also developing innovative models and strategies. By uniting students and local policymakers, the project seeks to formulate a common strategy that results in more practical, sustainable, and accessible approaches. Ultimately, the goal is to establish a well-thought-out strategy for restoration practices in rural tourism destinations.
