Background

The main motivation for applying for our project was the duty to preserve, develop and pass on to future generations the common cultural heritage of nations and humanity. This imperative arose as technological and economic progress threatened traditional arts, sports and games, jeopardizing cultural diversity. Our project aimed to discover, preserve and digitally sustain these traditional elements. Our main objectives included encouraging young people to appreciate their cultural heritage, improving the quality and creativity of youth initiatives, producing short films on traditional crafts and creating an inventory of proverbs and idioms derived from traditional sports and games. Furthermore, our project aimed to improve young people's access to cross-border mobility, promote solidarity and create digital content inclusive of people with disabilities. Promoting Green Erasmus and creating synergies between EU funding mechanisms and national, regional and local programs were also important objectives. These objectives formed the basis of our project for the preservation of cultural diversity and the challenges of digitalization.
