Objectives

The one-to-one allocation of the Spanish students (first the Spanish students spent a month at our school and with our host families, then they all flew to Spain together and the Austrian students were guests in the Spanish families and the Spanish school for a month) made it possible to develop some deep friendships. The aim was also to find a partner school in Spain.

Background

At our grammar school (BG & BRG), pupils have the opportunity to attend Spanish lessons for six years. For this long-form class, there was a desire to carry out a project with Spanish pupils of the same age. The mobility enabled our students to socialise with Spanish young people and their families. Visiting a Spanish school and living with a Spanish family was the highlight of the project.
