With the implementation of our project, we wanted to give the participants the opportunity to expand and increase their language skills. Above all, we wanted them to experience increased motivation outside of the conventional classroom by learning by doing and and an Italian course in the country of the target language, and thus to get to know and use the language on site. The associated skills should provide them with a further facilitation in their career choice. In addition, it is a great concern of our institution to train our graduates to become mature EU-citizens and to make them aware of the possibilities of "Green Travel".
Our school, the Handelsakademie Waidhofen an der Thaya, offers a choice of two Romance foreign languages. In order to our project the students had the possibility to get to know one language more, we have created this project as a follow-up project of our two-year project. It is entitled "Towards Multilingualism" and aims to show the participants how to use and how to learn Romance languages with the method of comparative linguistics.
