In its mission statement, FHV - Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences, defines one of its central tasks as generating and transferring knowledge and competencies on an academic level. By doing so, FHV contributes to the economic and social development of the state of Vorarlberg and its neighbouring regions, ensuring progress and prosperity for coming generations. The internationalisation strategy of FHV outlines how systematic promotion of international alliances and international exchange in learning and teaching contributes and supports the mission statement. FHV's goal is to provide an excellent education that meets international standards, like the full implementation of the Bologna process, and that equips students with key qualifications that will be important for their future career - and life - in a globalised and diverse world. By implementing this project, students and staff had the opportunities to gain intercultural competencies, learning about and valuing different cultures and ways of working, as well as better understanding foreign languages. All of these skills will give FHV's future graduates a great base that will continue to evolve during their lifetime. When joining the workforce, future employers, and therefore the whole region, will benefit from those skills.
