On the basis of the Higher Education Act (§9 and §10) 2005 and the implementation of the internationalization strategy anchored in the policy statement, the financial resources from Erasmus+ at the PPHB (Private University College of Teacher Education Burgenland) were used specifically for student and staff mobility, for the implementation and organization of mobilities and for the promotion of the PPHB as a university location. The aim of the PPHB was to select the mobilities in relation to its profile-forming focus areas in teacher education from the PPHB policy statement (multilingualism and languages of the ethnic groups, learning in virtual spaces, sustainability, elementary education, religious education, transitional education and the interweaving of theory and practice). The internationalization strategy of the PPHB is based on the languages of the ethnic groups living in Burgenland (Croatian, Hungarian, Romany) and, due to the shared historical past with neighbouring countries near and far, aims to intensify the geographical focus on South Eastern Europe. In order to increase the attractiveness of the Erasmus+ offer for primary and secondary school students in English, special attention was paid to the expansion of a study program in an English-speaking country with a compatible cooperation partner.
