In accordance with its internationalization strategy, the fhg - health university of applied sciences tyrol - has set itself the goal, of supporting students and academic/administrative staff to benefit from the Erasmus+ possibilities. The idea of connecting with European partner universities and experiencing learning input outside the Austrian border, is a valuable and lasting opportunity to the academic life surrounding the fhg community. As a university of applied sciences for health professions, our bachelor's degree programs are designed in accordance with the (Austrian) legal basis of the specific degrees/vocational trainings and are structured as dual training programs. Our focus lies on student mobility for traineeships because we believe our students benefit the most from the opportunity to receive subsidized stays abroad during their practical training. They experience health professions outside their known territory and apart from the Austrian healthcare system. To ensure this endeavour is feasible, we have included long internship phases in all BSc degree programs when designing the curricula. Furthermore, we are working to expand our cooperations with regard to staff mobility. Our qualitative goal is clearly formulated: to strengthen regional, national, and international cooperation and to foster international health care education and innovation.
