Since its founding in 2004, Medical University of Graz has been participating in the ERASMUS+ KA131 mobility program. The university has since then acquired and maintained numerous partnerships, enabling student mobility as well as staff mobility. Incoming and outgoing mobility through the Erasmus+ program is one of the pillars of the internationalization strategy. The university aims to establish studying and training abroad as a norm for all our students and staff and provides inclusive pathways of access to the programs. The engagement in the Erasmus+ program allows to continuously work on increasing the numbers of outgoings throughout the whole university. In the Erasmus+ projects Med Uni Graz focuses on equal opportunities and inclusive mobility, ensuring that all students and staff, regardless of their background or any other limitations, have access to mobility opportunities. As university we are convinced that teaching and training mobility facilitates the international exchange of knowledge and the sharing of best practices in the field of medicine and medicine-related administration, increasing the numbers for staff mobility is a further focus To enhance mobility numbers for student and staff mobility, Med Uni Graz has used KA131 funds to finance various initiatives such as its study abroad fair “International Day”, the celebration of the Erasmus+ Days as well as an information event for staff mobility. All these measures aim to raise awareness about the program and convince students and staff that an Erasmus+ stay is always beneficial.
