For the 2022 call, the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria (FH Upper Austria) had set itself the goal of increasing the funding duration of the mobilities and making full use of the funding granted. In the 2021 call, the maximum funding duration for SMS and SMT mobilities had to be limited due to budgetary constraints (lower grant than expected). This restriction was lifted in the 2022 call so that the entire stay for SMS/SMT mobilities, including any extensions, could be funded. In order to ensure full funding, part of the funding granted for staff mobilities was reallocated to SMS/SMT, which meant that the above mentioned objectives could be fully achieved. In terms of quality, the FH Upper Austria had set itself the goal of providing more individual support and information to students and staff in order to inspire more confidence and courage for mobility among all those involved after the numerous waves of Covid-19. The increase in personal exchange (e.g. during the EAIE conference but also virtually through online meetings) with the partner universities should aim to increase the quality of the mobility, i.e. to improve the recognition of credits but also the support before, during and after the stays. In addition to improving the quality of the mobilities, we were also able to increase mobilities in quantitative terms. A further aim was to actively promote the opportunities for short-term mobility and to make targeted use of them in individual degree programs, for example to give working students the opportunity to spend time abroad. Suitable formats were developed together with partner universities, enabling students from several degree programs to take part in short-term mobility.
