The Erasmus+-KA131 project is a central measure in the implementation of the internationalisation strategy of FHWien der WKW - University of Applied Sciences. The university's internationalisation strategy is based on the three pillars of 1) Mobility, 2) Cooperation, and 3) Internationalisation at home. Regarding mobility, the Erasmus+ programme plays a key role: around 75% of student mobility and 90% of staff mobility takes place within the framework of Erasmus+. FHWien der WKW has made a clear commitment to the importance of international experience by defining mobility windows in 95% of degree programmes. Furthermore, for all full-time Bachelor’s students, a mandatory international semester is part of the curriculum. The resulting quantitative increase in studies and internships abroad was achieved with the help of the Erasmus+ programme. The format of the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programmes provides us with an important strategic measure to help working students in part-time degree programmes gain international experience. Financial support for participants through Erasmus+ became even more important in the reporting year. In line with our strategy, the project also promoted the steady increase in staff mobility.
