Objectives

The aim of the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz (KUG) is to anchor and develop teaching, development and access to the arts (EEK) and research in an international environment in a future-oriented manner and to increase the international visibility of its achievements. For this reason, partnerships are being established and expanded in order to sharpen its own profile on the basis of international cooperation in the field of innovative and future-oriented subject areas of art studies. KUG regards mobility as an important means of promoting the artistic and academic development of students and teaching staff as well as the further development of administrative staff and the promotion of intercultural competences of all university members. To this end, the mobility of students and members of artistic, academic and administrative staff is strongly encouraged, as it serves to promote further education, the acquisition of additional qualifications and knowledge of best practice working methods at partner institutions. In order to gain a foothold in the working world as a musician or actor, additional qualifications and international practical experience are usually required in addition to an excellent education. KUG makes this possible through its mobility programmes. In order to enable as many university members as possible to spend time abroad, measures have been implemented to increase the number of mobility programmes and improve the administrative process.
