The project aimed to foster international cooperation between BOKU and partner institutions across Asia, Neighbourhood East, Middle East, Africa, Western Balkans, Pacific, North America. Its primary goal was to enhance higher education quality and institutional capacity through structured mobility of students and staff, development of intercultural competences, joint teaching, training activities. By addressing thematic areas such as sustainable agriculture, water and natural resource management, biodiversity, and climate change, the project also contributed to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the EU Green Deal. BOKU is leading innovation in sustainable development and the green economy and aims to be one of Europe’s best sustainability-focused universities. With this strong aim, BOKU takes into account sustainability not only in its teaching and research but also in the international projects that it pursues. The SDGs are thus inherent in all of BOKU's activities and were a core element of all mobilities implemented in this project. At the same time, the project promoted inclusiveness by involving participants from disadvantaged backgrounds and countries with limited access to international programmes.
