Objectives

The project aimed to strengthen the international positioning and competitiveness of the participating universities while fostering global mindsets, intercultural competence, and “21st century skills” among students and staff. It sought to build sustainable, long-term academic partnerships across multiple world regions, promoting the exchange of knowledge, teaching methodologies, and research collaboration. A central objective was to offer transformative international experiences that enhance subject-specific expertise, personal resilience, and the ability to act as responsible global citizens. The project also aimed to encourage the development of new cooperative activities and innovative initiatives. As a Responsible University, WU Vienna is committed to educating graduates who contribute to social development and address global challenges. The Erasmus+ programme played a key role in providing these international experiences, fully aligned with WU’s mission to promote a European and global mindset. Overall, the project created a platform for acquiring essential skills, strengthening intercultural collaboration, and ensuring a comprehensive, inclusive approach to international education.
