With the implementation of this project, we aimed to deliberately advance the internationalisation strategy of IMC Krems and further strengthen our role as an internationally oriented higher education institution. Key objectives were to increase the quality and quantity of mobilities after the pandemic and to expand sustainable partnerships with higher education institutions in third countries not associated to the Erasmus+ programme. At the same time, we sought to integrate the four priorities of the Erasmus+ programme into our activities: equal opportunities, diversity and inclusion through targeted support for underrepresented groups and alternative mobility formats; digitalisation through the expansion of digital services (e.g. Erasmus Without Paper, blended mobilities); sustainability through the promotion of resource-efficient mobility and Erasmus+ Green Travel; and finally global engagement, by enabling our students and staff to gain international experience, embody European values, and act as responsible “global citizens.” In this way, we contribute to the realisation of our vision “International. Innovative. IMC Krems” and strengthen the attractiveness and international visibility of the university.
