Participation in the Erasmus + programme was essentially aimed, on the one hand, at personal development and, on the other hand, at improving the professional training of our students in a spirit of openness to other European cultures and practices. Given the agricultural economic activities of their families, mobility is often exceptional for our learners, who therefore need to discover the differences of others and to gain confidence in another social environment. On the other hand, our school also needs to discover another working mode such as that of agricultural training in France: opening up to other didactic practices and methodologies will improve the quality of our training and further develop our external partnerships with other actors of the agricultural and para-agricultural sector. In conclusion, we believe that Erasmus+ will help us make our training more attractive and increase the visibility of our school.
Our school wants to offer its learners from a rural social and cultural context the opportunity to make a professional and family immersion in a French agricultural establishment and thus allow them to leave their ordinary living environment, to open up to diversity, to improve their ability to adapt and to become more aware of European values. From a more technical point of view, our students will be able to broaden their experience through contact with specific and/or local techniques, to develop skills related to regional differences and to further explore the use of digital technologies applied to agricultural production. From a teaching point of view, our school aims to take a more European and comparative approach that would help us identify good practices and/or pedagogical changes to experiment with in our training and the organisation of our facilities, including our didactic farm.
