The Art High School LE 75 offers an artistic bachelor's degree in four areas of the visual and spatial arts: graphic design, plural printed images, painting and photography. This specialized, degree-granting training is designed to last three years, enabling students to enter the professional world immediately or continue on to a complementary Master's degree. The school welcomes around 220 students every year. The École Supérieure des Arts de l'Image LE 75 (founded in 1969) has been operating from two sites in Brussels since 1980. For almost 30 years, ESA LE 75 has participated in the Erasmus+ exchange program as part of its international activities. ESA LE 75 aims to create exchanges based on a system of shared values and a shared dynamic. These privileged partnerships can give rise to new projects. One example is the “Performing Identity” program, of which LE 75 was a member from 2022 to 2024, bringing together several European partners including the University of Arts in Poznań and the Burren College of Arts. These projects were presented in Brussels at the Festival (Pas si) Fragile! in April 2024 at Les Halles de Schaerbeek, La Bellone and Studio Thor. As for the first edition of the PUBLIEK > éditer et publier en pratique Festival, organized and supported by ESA LE 75 in Brussels in March 2024, it was a success in both qualitative and quantitative terms, with the active involvement of several European partners from France, Germany and the Netherlands. The workshops and conferences offered to students from different countries and to the general public promoted the editorial practice of art's and artistic book. We would like to highlight the quality of the presentations and speakers from the above-mentioned countries, as well as an online conference with MoMA PS1, one of the largest and oldest museums devoted exclusively to contemporary art in the United States, and a special exhibition by Éditions Non-Standard from Le Havre. With the start of the 2024-2025 academic year, Valérie Pihet took over as Director of ESA LE 75, beginning a five-year mandate. Valérie Pihet's background in research and experimentation at the crossroads of the arts and humanities will breathe new life into ESA LE 75's international policy. We can cite her experience in coordinating research at art schools that are members of PSL Research University. She was a member of the steering committee of the Forum des Vies Mobiles, a research institute set up by the SNCF, and of the Parse research group (Platform for Artistic Research Sweden). She worked with the philosopher Bruno Latour, with whom she co-founded the experimental program in Arts and Politics at Sciences Po (SPEAP), which she directed from 2010 to 2014. Valérie Pihet's recent arrival at the helm of ESA LE 75 (since barely a month at the time of writing) means that we can't yet go into detail here about the new lines of ESA LE 75's international strategy, but her professional background augurs well for a particular focus on developing international relations and projects, and more particularly on the link between Art & Research. From the outset, ESA LE 75 has worked in close collaboration with its teams. The same will apply to our international strategy, with the school's teaching and administrative teams. We are currently setting up working groups specifically dedicated to ESA LE 75's involvement in the Erasmus+ program. The aim is to adhere as closely as possible to the requirements of the program, in consultation with all the teams involved (teaching and administrative). This approach requires more time, but ensures greater involvement of all concerned. Despite its small size, ESA LE 75 has developed partnerships with numerous institutions, enabling its students and staff to benefit from a wide range of reputable institutions. The stabilization of the International Relations team will enable us to achieve our objectives with professionalism, as demonstrated by this report in which we are approaching 95% of our targets.
