The University of Montreal and Hénallux, having signed a bilateral agreement in 2018, share a common vision of internationalization, aimed at developing joint projects in research, teaching, and faculty/student mobility in the social field. In this context, the development of the Problem-Based Learning project pursues several objectives for undergraduate students in Social Work (Belgium/Canada), related to: • Learning process: strengthening teamwork, autonomy, responsibility, and critical thinking; broadening knowledge; acquiring a theoretical basis for analysis; and building a complex understanding of the populations concerned. • Social intervention: gaining deeper knowledge of legislative and social frameworks, as well as diverse intervention methods. • Internationalization: understanding other cultures, field realities, and approaches while fostering open-mindedness, self-confidence, and awareness of one’s strengths and limitations. For staffs and institutions, the project enriches curricula (new elective course), encourages idea-sharing, develops a new pedagogy, broadens professional networks, stimulates mobility, and enhances the value of the partner institution for long term mobility.
