ULiège's internationalization policy aims to increase its collaborations and influence. The various regional strategies respected this general objective, while following the trend set by AC171, namely to increase development aid. As a result, our project focused on incoming mobility, enabling us to limit our request in line with the available budgets. Considering the regional allocations and geographical priorities, we requested many scholarships for sub-Saharan Africa, while we reduced our faculties' requests by 2/3 for Latin America. The application was based on experience and active partnerships, with which concrete actions had already been achieved. The aim was to ensure optimal use of the grants at Master level, and at PhD and staff level, to perpetuate ongoing research, with a view to new collaborations in the field. The grants obtained through AC171 were also intended to secure reciprocal exchanges with partners reluctant to host students.
