UNamur has been actively engaged in the Erasmus+ ICM programme since its inception in 2015. Integrating the principles and values of Erasmus into collaborations with non-European partner universities enables us to develop robust, open partnerships, both bilaterally and within international networks, such as the IAJU and RELIEF. In a globalised context, international experience is an essential dimension of students’ education and of academic staff careers. International mobility provides exposure to diverse languages, cultures, and academic and professional environments. This is why support for international mobility is a key element of UNamur’s overall strategy. We also view the Erasmus+ ICM programme as a lever for initiating new collaborations and developing research synergies with both long-standing and new partners. In doing so, the programme strengthens UNamur’s international visibility and attractiveness as a research-oriented university.
