By implementing this project, we aimed to achieve the following objectives: Better understand the profile of our students and see how they were able to manage a blended learning course and identify the obstacles they face. Exchange practices and know-how between our institutions on the implementation of blended learning courses for adult learners. Strengthen the skills of teachers so they can adapt their teaching methods to better meet students' needs. Enhance teachers' overall skills, particularly in digital and blended learning techniques. Improve our students' learning-to-learn skills, empowering them to be more autonomous and effective in their studies. Through these objectives, we sought to create a more flexible, inclusive, and effective educational environment for adult learners, leveraging blended learning to meet their unique needs and circumstances.
Since the pandemic there was a huge trend in the way trainings were organized and provided in different education sectors, among which the adult education one : new technologies represented an opportunity to develop new teaching methods and reach more adult learners. Adult learners that attended courses in our schools were people who had current duties (work, family, etc...) that could prevent them from engaging in a learning path to get specific diploma. As adult education providers we decided to present this project as the integration and development of blended learning that had to be completely implemented in our institutions beyond isolated intiatives from staff members. Indeed, we intended to develop this project as an institution, in a sustainable and structured way. This offered also the pedagogical team to diversifythe way they taught and used tools/pegogical practices that weren't implemented in the classroom before. The pedagogical staff increased their teaching, digitatal skills and capacity to adapt to their learner's needs.
