Objectives

This Erasmus+ KA131 2022 project aims to further develop the mobilities of outgoing and incoming students and staff with HOGENT's European partner institutions. This project supports the objectives around internationalisation as laid down in HOGENT's strategic plan 2017-2022 and 2023-2028. HOGENT realises social mobility; HOGENT educates future-proof students (including international and intercultural, green and digital competences); HOGENT invests in a network of qualitative and sustainable international partnerships and develops a network of privileged partners; and HOGENT wants to focus on professionalisation of employees. HOGENT's internationalisation policy plan opts for 3 ways to realise this ambition: commitment to internationalisation@home, international mobilities, and projects and partnerships. The guiding principle in the use of Erasmus+ funds is that all students can receive a grant for long-term mobility. Thus, HOGENT aims to give all students the opportunity to acquire international and intercultural competences through international mobility. In addition, from the spirit of inclusion and innovation, HOGENT also focuses on the possibilities of blended mobilities. Through the development of a sustainable travel policy, HOGENT aims to encourage that mobilities can be realised as sustainably as possible. The mobilities on this project will also be used to realise the objectives of the strategic cooperation with HOGENT's U!REKA partners, which form a European University Alliance since 2024.
