There are six major goals partnerships of UC Leuven-Limburg (UCLL) can contribute to: - strategic cooperation, - cooperation in quality assurance, - cooperation in education, - cooperation in research programmes, - staff mobility - student mobility We also work with (international) partners from industry and technology to develop an external nexus and further participative development to update our curriculum and research and to ensure that the content is relevant. Key issues are that there is a bottom up approach to see if there is enough compatibility. Our objective is to ensure that a minimum of 30% of our students gain valuable international exposure. This can be achieved through various means, including long or short physical exchanges abroad, as well as through comprehensive internationalization initiatives conducted within our own institution. By offering these diverse opportunities, we aim to enrich our students’ educational experiences, broaden their global perspectives, and better prepare them for the interconnected world. Regarding staff mobility, our aim is to ensure that our staff members engage in international teaching, training, or research experiences seizing every possible opportunity. This initiative is designed to enhance their professional development, foster cross-cultural collaboration, and contribute to the overall academic excellence of our institution. During this academic year we realised following number of outbound mobilities in UC Leuven: SMT 89, SMS 168, STA 47 and STT 43. A number of student mobilities were not reported, because the students did not complete and turn in the necessary Erasmus documents. Together with our HR service are working on the valorisation of staff mobilities through our functioning and evaluation policy for staff members.
