KU Leuven’s International Policy Plan for the period 2021-2025 involved multiple aspects to solidify its international strategy, translated into targets such as: 1) a substantial increase of student participation in more and better mobility programmes; 2) the development of strategically chosen international partnerships to address global challenges; 3) attention to linking higher education, research and business for excellence and regional development and 4) the consolidation of a strong inclusive and green mobility policy. The project aimed to support this international strategy by strengthening exchange cooperation with priority partners and developing new partnerships in key focus regions. The partner institutions shared similar strategies, with a focus on capacity-building, curriculum development, optimising recognition processes, increasing international visibility and improving their quality of education. The project aimed to contribute to these goals and in this way fit into all partners' international strategy. Finally, the project aimed to emphasise inclusive mobility and had as a main objective to create and offer valuable exchange experiences for students and staff from the involved partners in an inclusive way.
