The main objectives were multi-faceted: Awareness Raising: We wanted to raise a passion for environmental protection among students and teachers by developing an understanding of climate change, the importance of biodiversity and the principles of responsible recycling * Developing Basic Skills: We aimed to develop critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration skills, as well as digital literacy by using digital tools such as Scratch for game development and e-book creation. * Promoting Intercultural Understanding: Our transnational approach is designed to foster intercultural understanding and cooperation. * Supporting Vulnerable Students:We tried to actively involve students from disadvantaged backgrounds, such as refugees and students with special needs. Our aim was to ensure that every student had the opportunity to participate in and benefit from the project activities. Through collaborative learning we aimed to foster a sense of belonging and promote successful social integration. * Incorporating Sustainability into Education: We aimed to leave a lasting legacy by working to incorporate environmental issues into school curricula. This would allow the learning from the project to extend well beyond the grant period.
This project, entitled "Ecological Steps", aimed to develop environmental awareness and promote sustainable practices among students and teachers. Driven by the urgent need to address climate change and biodiversity loss, we aimed to empower a new generation of environmentally responsible citizens. Our project is built on a successful ewinning initiative ("DOC-3 Elements") and extended its impact through transnational mobility activities. We targeted particularly vulnerable student communities, including refugees and students with special needs, to promote social inclusion and equal opportunities. Our primary objectives were: * Significantly increase knowledge and understanding of climate change, renewable energy, recycling and biodiversity. * To increase digital literacy and promote the use of technology in education. * To develop critical thinking, problem solving and collaboration skills among students and educators. * To promote intercultural understanding and co-operation between partner countries. * Successfully integrate environmental themes into the school curriculum. * To promote the long-term sustainability of environmental awareness in schools and the wider community.
