Objectives

With the IncludeUp project, we aimed to empower adult educators to better support low-skilled adults with a migration background in developing the digital entrepreneurship competences they need to participate in today’s economy. Specifically, we wanted to: Develop a European Competence Framework for inclusive digital entrepreneurship education tailored to adult learners with diverse needs and backgrounds. Strengthen the digital and pedagogical skills of adult educators through an innovative online training offer that combines theory, tools, and practical examples. Support inclusive entrepreneurship pathways by equipping learners with accessible, culturally sensitive, and practical learning materials. Build a transnational network of educators and institutions that share good practices, tools, and experiences around inclusive entrepreneurship education. Influence policy and practice by providing insights, recommendations, and tested materials that can be used at both national and European level. Ultimately, the goal was to increase opportunities for migrants and other disadvantaged groups to become self-employed or start digital businesses, thereby contributing to social inclusion, economic participation,...

Background

The Includeup project aims to foster digital entrepreneurship among adults with a migrant background by equipping educators with innovative tools and resources. This responds directly to EU priorities on inclusion, diversity, and educator competence development. Migrants remain underrepresented in digital start-ups despite digital tools lowering traditional barriers. Includeup addresses this gap through: A Digital Entrepreneurship Competence Framework (DEF) An Inclusive e-Learning Platform (DEP) An Online Educator Community (OC) These outputs empower educators to guide migrants into digital entrepreneurship, promote employment, and support social integration. The project draws on UCLL's expertise in digital education and entrepreneurship and creates synergies between adult, vocational, and youth education. Its cross-sectoral approach enhances transferability, ensuring impact across various educational domains.
