1. To upgrade the digital knowledge and skills of non-formal education trainers, parents, volunteers and mentors, professionals from the helping professions and the use of web tools; This goal was related to the need to introduce online communication with young people with mental disabilities and their families who live in geographically remote areas and to the need for new training programs that contain digital tools. 2. Introduction of informal learning in our organization; The goal is relevant not the need of the training teams, mentors and family members of the youth of the target group for self-improvement of competencies. 3. Introduction of online events to involve the local community in the problems and needs of our target group; The new digital competencies of the project participants enable the introduction of new practices in organizing events through online applications, which expands access to new target groups. 4. Building a network of partner organizations for the development of joint projects, regular transfer of knowledge and multicultural cooperation based on European values and policies.
Our project was developed and implemented in response to specific needs of our organization, which are a consequence of the entry of digital technologies into all spheres of public life, for which our trainers, mentors and volunteers were not prepared. The consequences of the Covid-crisis was an additional factor that made it difficult not only to effectively carry out the main activities of the association, but also had a negative impact on our target groups (youth and adults with mental and physical disabilities). The representatives of our training, mentoring and volunteer teams were highly motivated to increase their digital knowledge and skills, as well as their personal competences, in order to be able to reach more users of the services that our association provides. The need to enrich the toolkit for the work of trainers, experts from the helping professions, mentors and volunteers in the field of informal education, digital forms of work, as well as the introduction of forms of informal education, made it possible to expand the opportunities for impact of our organization. Particularly valuable for our organizational development was the sustainable introduction of modern programs, methods and work approaches.
