Through this project we wanted to achieve two main things: 1) Training teachers in Mindfulness practices and how to implement in the classroom To make the classroom a place where students can be calm and focused, teachers need to be trained in practices that ensure children's physical and mental well-being. It is through training in countries where these practices are an integral part of the daily learning process that our teachers have received quality training to apply this in their own classroom. 2) Enhancing teacher resilience as an effective prevention and response to burnout The focus of our work was on developing teachers' own skills and competencies to manage stress, thus also having a strong impact on student well-being. Practicing different techniques of meditation, physical and mental well-being, the teachers were able to manage their own stress and counteract the state of "burnout".
Through this project, we studied the experience and good practices in the implementation of Mindfulness and Wellbeing programs in proven effective educational systems of European countries and managed to adapt them in our school. Purposefully and systematically, our school becomes a place where teachers and students discover the strengths of their character, experience positive emotions and train their minds. By introducing a Mindfulness and Wellbeing program we want to make students calmer, happier and more fulfilled; manage stress and anxiety; improve their concentration and attention in class, during exams and tests, on the sports field, when playing games or listening to others. We have been able to build a team of teachers who can practice these practices for themselves and practice them with students.
