The goals set in the project were the following: 1. Creation of conditions for educational transformation and development of 40 SU "Louis Pasteur" by applying and adapting good practices and successful European educational models. 2. Increasing the motivation to learn and the educational results of students, by training teachers to build transferable skills in the learning and teaching process. 3. Building the capacity of teachers in the field of environmental education and sustainable development and mastering innovative techniques for quality and inspiring teaching. 4. Encouraging the professional development of teachers and increasing their motivation to contribute to the modernization of the school and education, through their participation in international projects and cooperation.
40 SU "Louis Pasteur" is located in Lyulin district in Sofia. Since 2018, it has been included in the list of innovative schools with eco school status. His overall activity is focused on achieving a long-term positive change in the attitude of students towards the living environment by integrating environmental education and upbringing into curricula and projects. It is an associate member of UNESCO. The project "Environmental education: learning and action for a better future!" was provoked by the need to adapt a successful, European educational model in our reality, which would change the status quo and attitudes about the role of teachers and provoke the interest and motivation of students. The project is also related to our eco-school profile and our goal of achieving a long-term positive change in students' attitudes towards the living environment by integrating environmental education and upbringing into curricula and projects. In the long term, the project is a prerequisite for the creation of a class with a Sustainable Development profile and our distinction as a modern eco school.
