Objectives

We aim to rebuild the efficiency and sustainability of the educational process as well as restore self-confidence and the motivation for teaching and learning. Thus, we will support the partnership process of learning and target the growth of personal development, creativity as well as students’ active engagement in the achievement of educational goals and outcomes. As leaders in this process, the teachers will implement new teaching methods and soft skills to boost communication in the classroom, as well as apply individual approaches towards each student to stimulate their strengths. We are planning to engage our pedagogical staff with the problem of rebuilding teachers’ mental health by training them how to deal with exhaustion, and with the help of a complex set of approaches, achieve balance and well-being. This is the path of overcoming alienation and anonymity caused by prolonged distance education.

Background

The project “Rebuilding Resilience for Life and Work” was inspired by the impact the COVID-19 pandemic has exerted on education, and its consequences on the school community as a whole. Swiftly adapting education to the internet environment, online learning has become the new reality for students around the world. Distance learning brought to the surface phenomena associated with the overuse of the technologies – an unhealthy lifestyle in front of the computer, lack of socialization, limited communication skills, insecurity as well as symptoms of “professional burnout”. The school community is facing the task to collectively fight the feelings of isolation and safely rebuild an effective educational environment by implementing diverse educational tools, approaches and styles. Their aim is to help teachers and students overcome stress and restore their trust in their own skills and capabilities. This is a challenge with two focal areas – prevention and personality development.
