The successful implementation of the project contributed to the achievement of the two goals set in it: - Developing the digital skills and competencies of teachers through the use of ICT technologies and innovative teaching methods - Capacity building for participation in cross-border exchanges, trainings and cooperation in the field of education. By fulfilling the goals, PGMET contributed to increasing the quality, efficiency and digitization of the educational process, and hence turning the high school into a preferred educational institution with a European dimension of teaching and learning.
For more than 60 years, PGMET provides education for electrical engineers, and in order to maintain high quality and efficiency of the provided vocational education and training, the main task of the school is to support the professional qualifications of teachers, who have a key role in the educational process. With the implementation of the current project, we increased the digital skills and competences of 6 teachers by participating in a 10-day job shadowing period at Agrupamento de Esscolas Antonio Nobre in Porto, Portugal. In the period 2-15 April 2023, the teachers learned skills to work with a specific set of digital tools for general and vocational education in various e-learning environments - organization of the educational process in E-learning, interaction, teamwork and individualization of training, modularity and flexibility according to didactic and methodical principles in E-learning, creation of a virtual classroom and digital learning content; developing a model of a learning environment that is not limited by time and space; implementation of various types of innovative teaching methods in addition to the main training program (project-based learning, flipped classroom, blended learning).
