Objectives

Course participants will learn how to approach the environmental topic and inclusive education so as to spark students' interest and deepen their knowledge of the topic. Having mastered the new skills related to the content of the relevant teaching material, teachers will be able to apply them in the school and make the educational institution acquire the characteristics of a green school and an integration-stimulating center. The idea is that our school community covers and promotes the standards for quality ecological and inclusive education. The results of the training will be individual, for each individual participant, but also collective, for the entire school team, who will gain motivation and additional self-confidence that they can make changes and seek development not only of professional skills and competencies, but also of social and civic skills of students and the parent community.

Background

In today's dynamically changing world, the teaching profession is becoming more and more complex and demanding diverse knowledge, skills and teaching practices. Many children drop out or stop coming to school. They come irregularly and miss a large part of their school hours as they start helping their parents to support the family. It is important to provide training for teachers to acquire skills for working with children with special educational needs and for working in a multicultural environment. The qualification of pedagogical specialists is the basis of the successful policy of supporting personal development. The ecological education of adolescents is an important condition for the formation of an ecological culture and the achievement of harmony in the "man - society - nature" system. Ecological knowledge is the basis of ecological culture. In most cases, they are highly abstract, hidden from immediate perception and direct observation. This requires a specific use of pedagogical forms and methods oriented to this problem. The change must start from the teaching staff itself, so that they acquire knowledge and skills to deal with the environmental illiteracy of adolescents.
