In recent years, the municipality of Dulgopol has seen a stronger economic development in the fields of agriculture and forestry, processing industry, trade, hotels and restaurants. SU "St. Kliment Ohridski" strives to respond to the local demand of the labor market by including students from profession Cook and Information Assurance Operator in the implementation of the project. The school is aware that it cannot update the teaching material in sync with the speed with which the market develops. With our application to realise a project under the Erasmus+ program, we want to create an opportunity for students to upgrade and develop skills and competencies that meet European standards, thus guaranteeing successful integration in the workplace and their continued employment. The goals we have set in the current project are: 1. Increasing students' motivation for development and learning; 2. Acquisition of complex skills - professional competences, command of the English language, social and soft skills; 3. Increasing the opportunities for professional realization after graduating from high school The project goals are built on the basis of the school's strategy and are in sync with its long-term goals.
SU "St. Kliment Ohridski" is the largest secondary school on the territory of Dulgopol municipality. It accepts admission from the first, fifth and after the seventh grade. The total number of students for the 2021/2022 academic year is 584. High school graduates are trained in general education and professional fields, such as: Humanities, Software and Hardware Sciences, Food and Beverage Production and Chef. The school's mission is to guarantee a high-quality educational process, adequately oriented to the dynamically changing modern world, which is in line with EU standards and in the spirit of democratic values. A major obstacle on the way to the realization of this goal of ours remains the fact that the students are from small settlements, with a minority background and a limited worldview, which has a direct impact on their chances of successful implementation. By implementing an Erasmus+ project, we want to place students in an environment where they can develop skills and competencies that will influence their confidence that they can cope with the tasks they are given, deepen their understanding of the applicability of professions and to encourage them to strive for continuous improvement of their competitiveness.
