Background

The ''The Music Balkan Train for Peace'' considers ways in which music can contribute to the development of social synchrony in situations of social uncertainty generated by global conflicts and widespread population movements. Schools play a key role in both educating and encouraging students to engage in terms of prosperity, peace, as well as helping to improve and enhance our common European identity and increase awareness on those topics. Therefore, tackling this problem through different approaches in the school environment is a marvelous opportunity for the educational community to become aware of good practices and tools for promoting what is in need. More precisely, the question that arises here is what knowledge do students have in the EU over a common feeling of prosperity and peace, as well as ways to tackle radicalization and racism? In order to tackle the above mentioned issues, the project partners focused on the following: - emphasize in the aspects that through music we can achieve a common feeling of prosperity and peace - encourage schools that do not yet take action to start activities promoting peace actions and to tackle radicalization and racism among the school community.
