Firstly, we wanted to provide the students with the opportunity to learn about green skills and how traditional jobs can contribute to the green transition, so that some of them may choose a green career in the future or at least integrate environmental practices to their future work practices. Secondly, we wanted to inspire our students to achieve a balance between the environment, society and the economy and understand their responsibility in creating thriving and healthy communities for both, the current and future generations. We also strived in creating students-advocates that will take ownership in inspiring and influencing their peers, family and friends. Thirdly, since the project took place in the aftermath of the Pandemic, we wanted to aid our students re-integrate into social sctivites, regain their confidence and practice their soft skills (such as socialising and networking), and to reconnect both with their peers and with mother nature.
Our project is linked with Environmental Sustainability and Responsibility. The green transition and the shift to more sustainable business practices is a top priority in the world we live in. That was the idea that trigerred of bringing our students across to their future professional careers.
