The project aimed to strengthen the international role of the Open University of Cyprus by expanding mobility opportunities with partner institutions outside the European Union. Its main objectives were to promote mutual understanding, intercultural dialogue, and academic cooperation, while offering meaningful study, traineeship, teaching, and training opportunities. For students, the project supported the development of competences, employability skills, and intercultural awareness. For staff, it provided opportunities to exchange knowledge, teaching practices, and administrative expertise, enhancing professional development and institutional modernisation. The project also sought to promote inclusion by supporting learners with fewer opportunities, to integrate digital tools into mobility and academic cooperation, and to contribute to sustainable international engagement. Overall, the project reinforced the role of the Open University of Cyprus as a hub for international collaboration, improved the quality and relevance of higher education, and advanced the objectives of the European Education Area through mobility, inclusion, and global cooperation.
