Objectives

We wanted to achieve following objectives in our project: - Enhance volunteering in Czech Mother Centers - Introduce and implement the phenomenon of intergenerational cooperation to Czech Mother Center - Building community and togetherness through forest pedagogy and a community garden project - Introduce and implement proven and functional programs for a disadvantaged group of single parents into the program offer of Czech Mother Centers

Background

Network for Family is a non profit national umbrella organisation, which was founded on the bases of long-term cooperation of Mother Centers and was registered in 2001. We are an association of member Mother Centers. During the time, we have gradually expanded our activities to family policy making, influencing and teaching employers family friendly measures and we offer in every region of Czech Republic intervision meetings, specific consultations and trainings made to measure to our 260 member organisations, which work with parents and families in general. Each region has a regional coordinator, which is in direct contact with its Mother Centers and collects information and tendencies and reacts on the specific regional needs with a specific training or consultation. This project was related to the training of our member organisations. We wanted to provide them with an experience in the similar foreign organisation and focus on topics, which could enrich their program and expand the offer for visitors.
