Objectives

In the project, we set two goals. The first goal was to strengthen our school's international cooperation and the associated focus on foreign languages so that students would be better able to communicate in other potential projects in the future. We were also able to apply a questionnaire specifically focused on the choice of foreign language education. The second goal was the integration of foreign pupils and pupils with special needs, as our school is a catchment school of our district for teaching Czech as a second language to foreign pupils from 2021. We wanted to make our lessons more systematic in order to make them as effective as possible for the participants.

Background

Our project consisted of shadow teaching in a Lithuanian school (it is a different school than the one mentioned in the application, unfortunately there was a data entry error, the correct school is mentioned in the final report). The project was attended by 4 teachers, who managed to shadow foreign language and second language lessons as planned but were also given the opportunity and insight into history, physical education, and IT lessons. At the same time, they focused on the integration of pupils, especially foreigners. Our school also focused on further developing of international cooperation, which was successful as projects were submitted and subsequently successfully approved, both by the host organization and our organization
