The aim of the project was to provide a sufficient number of qualified language teachers - adapting to the needs of modern teaching, preparing competitive students and sharing new forms and methods of work and thus to increase the quality of foreign language education at our school through the professional development of teachers.
Our school was founded in 1994. In the past it was a school with only a few pupils and classes, nowadays there are 10 classes at primary level and 9 classes at secondary level of education. Since 2023, two kindergartens are also a part of the school. English is taught from 1st class and a second foreign languages are taught from 7th class (pupils can choose Russian, German or Spanish). Pupils in 8th and 9th class have extra conversation classes. There is a native speaker at our school who enriches the conversation lessons at the secondary level. Our organisation joined the project to support professional development of teachers, focused primarily on the education of pupils in primary level. The project included the participation of 4 teachers in a methodological course focused on providing new pedagogical methods, strategies and tools adapted for pupils at primary level. Participation in the methodological course was to provide teachers with a modern approach to teaching, as well as diversity for different groups of pupils. The project should have provided our organisation with international cooperation experience for further school partnership projects, as well as exchange of experience between other project participants.
