- The first aim of the project was to increase the language competencies of the school staff and then to use them to develop the language skills of the pupils. Through this, we planned to reduce the differences between the different language groups. The intention was to remove the barrier of the school staff in the use of foreign language, to get acquainted with modern trends in teaching, with the CLIL method and the possibilities of how to subsequently apply everything to regular teaching. - Another aim of the project was to introduce teachers to the possibilities of increasing pupils' motivation to move, to outdoor activities and to active life outside the online world. The selected courses led teachers to learn and consolidate such activities and apply them to their teaching. - The project also included a systematic plan to disseminate these methods to other teachers and the public after the end of the project, based on the examples of the acquired practice.
We are an extended language school and a school for pupils with a different mother tongue. Our school curriculum focuses on the development of language and communication competencies and generally on high-quality and caring work with all pupils, including a focus on gifted pupils in different areas. We support these intensively with various projects, a superior foreign language teaching including increased time allocation. The first aim of the project is therefore to expand the language competencies of teachers of non-language subjects. The aim is to enrich teachers and school staff with new suggestions on how to use foreign language elements in teaching, to reduce the fear of implementing a foreign language and to support teachers with practical guidelines and tips on how to use a foreign language in the teaching of other subjects (CLIL method). Thus, the second aim of the project is to increase pupils' motivation to move, engage in outdoor activities and be active outside the online world. The chosen courses lead teachers to practice such activities and apply them to their teaching. Our school has set itself the goal of changing this negatively developing situation with a programme of movement activities across the school.
