Objectives

With the project we wanted to open up the possibilities of individual self-realization, cross-border cooperation, and partnership that our modern times offer. This will enable pupils to acquire new knowledge and skills, teachers to develop their professional competences, and help both groups to feel more part of Europe again. Specifically, we have set ourselves 5 objectives: Objective 1 To deepen and train pupils' soft skills. Objective 2:Pupils will acquire and deepen their knowledge in selected subjects in an interesting way. Objective 3: Accessibility of the program for all. Objective 4: Developing the professional competences of teaching staff in the subjects and teaching methods. Objective 5: Developing the professional competences of non-teaching staff in the field of foreign languages.

Background

Gymnázium in Sušice is a secondary school with a general education programme. The school has a professional teaching staff of qualified experts who are inclined to increase their expertise, acquire new skills and get acquainted with modern trends in teaching and in the organization of work. Also very important is the regular involvement of our pupils in international projects in the Erasmus+ programme or the Douzelage (cooperation of European cities) organisation, of which Sušice is a member. With this project, we wanted to build on the previous activities of our school with an international scope interrupted during the covida pandemic. The sudden cancellation of these activities from our curriculum had a noticeable impact on the motivation and involvement of pupils and staff not only in their studies and self-education, but also in social life. We have responded to the needs of pupils and teachers to rediscover the zest and vigour in the learning process and to find again the hidden potential of every participant.
