We planned that our experience gained in this project will be reflected in the updating of methodological approaches to teaching TV at our secondary school and in the overall innovation of TV teaching, as well as in the improvement of language skills and motivation to study a foreign language. Thanks to the study stays at the German grammar school, we expect the receptive and productive language skills of the participants and their classmates to improve, as we plan to implement other activities and projects with the partner grammar school in the future. We plan that teachers participating as accompanying persons will also have the opportunity to get to know the education system in Germany and establish professional and personal contacts.
VOŠ, G, SPŠ a SOŠ Podskalská is a large tertiary and secondary school providing both general and vocational education to pupils and students of the age 16-23. This project is our first in the field of school education. In our regular school evaluation, weaknesses in motivation of our pupils to study a second foreign language and very poor motivation to physical education have been identified. Due to Covid-19 lockdown many student dropped their sport activities and the only physical activity they perform is PE at school. PE teachers identified drop in students' fitness.
