We wanted to improve language skills of 8 of our staff members who don't teach foreign languages so that in the future they could participate more regularly in Erasmus+ projects. We wanted to prevent or reduce the impact of the burnout syndrom on 6 of our teachers and to further improve their English language skills since our students demand a proficient command of English these days.
In this project we decided to focus on our school staff, mainly teachers. We have about three quarters of our staff nearing or older than fifty years so they can suffer from the burnout syndrom. Moreover, their language skills are nonexistent or very low. Up until now we haven't had a project with such a focus. All of our existing projects have so far aimed only and especially at our students. We are aware that such Erasmus+ projects help our school to remain a modern educational institution open to communication, modern technologies and new challenges. Such projects make our staff and students more independent, open, tolerant and in case of our students even more mature. Thanks to these projects, our students as well as our teachers improve their English language skills and for our students, this can present more success in future studies or more prestigious jobs. All of them, teachers and students alike, thus become better Eurocitizens.
