1. Development and support of an inclusive school environment with regard to students with special educational needs (SEN) or non-native speakers - in this area, our great asset is a trained instructor in the Feuerstein Instrumental Enrichment (FIE) method and the Learning Propensity Assessment Device (LPAD) diagnostic method for students with special educational needs. The school has a certified instructor in the FIE method and LPAD certification. 2. Increasing the quality and possibilities of project-based and interdisciplinary teaching: At the secondary level, the school focuses on teaching connected with practice, which actively involves students in the educational and upbringing process. Thanks to this teaching setup, students build and develop not only their academic knowledge and its application context but also acquire competencies that are only partially developed through theoretical teaching. 3. Support for the development of teachers' language skills, especially in English. This need is related to the increasing number of non-native families interested in education at our school. The principal, some leading teachers, and other school employees communicate with students and their families within their language abilitie.
The aim of the school management representatives and employees who have expressed interest in participating in the project is to gain a sufficient amount of inspirational ideas and information to prepare (possibly in cooperation with staff from the respective foreign school) interesting themes and materials that will be applicable in the Czech environment (in their original form or after modifications) in classroom teaching (including students with special educational needs or foreign language students), as well as in individual teaching with a single student. Furthermore, the school needs to develop the language skills of its staff, especially the management, due to the increasing work with foreign language students and their families.
