The goals of our project were focused on the overall development of our village border school. The main goal was to strengthen the language competence of teachers and subsequently pupils through innovative teaching methods. We want our students not only to master language skills, but also to be able to use them actively and creatively in communication. Another key goal was the full use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in education. We want to use modern digital tools and online platforms to enhance interactive learning and support the development of digital skills. The intention is for pupils to be able to work effectively with modern technologies, which is a key element for success in today's digital world. Thanks to the project, we wanted to create an inspiring environment where students feel motivated and engaged in their own learning. We want our school to be a place where not only academic abilities are developed, but also where the overall personality of the students is formed. The project was supposed to contribute to the overall improvement of the educational environment and strengthen our position as a modern and progressive school in the rural border area.
We are a small, rural, frontier school that wants to be a center of progressive education, where tradition meets modern trends, and where students not only prepare for the future, but also shape it with energy and new enthusiasm. Taking into account the impact of the pandemic and the manifestations of depression among students, we decided to transform traditional teaching methods and introduce new motivation into our environment. A key element of this transformation is the integration of information and communication technologies (ICT), which would not only open up new possibilities for interactive learning, but also help reach a digitally oriented generation. Our project emphasizes school as a game where learning becomes an adventure. Educational games and online platforms provide pupils with the opportunity to learn with joy and interactivity. In this way, we not only want to support their academic development, but also actively work to prevent depression and improve overall mental health. The new motivation in school is not only about acquiring knowledge, but also about developing creativity, critical thinking and teamwork. We want to create an environment where students look forward to learning, challenges and opportunities.
