As one of the fundamental pillars of education at our school is an individual approach and respect for the special educational needs of individual pupils, our goal was to gather new experience and knowledge about this issue, to improve in this and to provide our pupils with an even better environment for their social and educational development . In this project, we wanted to follow up on our cooperation with already visited schools in Portugal and the Netherlands and continue learning about their educational methods, which are in line with the pedagogical direction we apply at our school and already implemented teaching methods. We also want to analyze the newly learned methods from the point of view of applicability in our school and then successfully implement them in real daily teaching. Another goal was to support our teachers and our students in the participation process and strengthen their competence in taking the initiative in solving various topics, the ability to engage and be active in various issues of school functioning at a level they can influence. The topic of sustainability and environmental protection is considered as one of the important issues, which is why we wanted to discuss this topic at the host schools
Our school is a young elementary school that was established only 7 years ago, and which uses the innovative and alternative direction of Jensky plan as its basic educational concept. We focus on teaching methods that enable a more individual and direct approach to each student. We are a school that focuses on the inclusion of all students, including students with special educational needs. In order to develop this approach of ours, we are looking for same minded schools and organizations that have similar goals and visions as our school, and that also have more years of experience, so that we can take them, learn from them and implement them in our school environment, and also we could subsequently pass on our experience. Our school has continued to grow since its establishment. In the first year, 7 pupils attended the school. Today the school has 100 pupils with daily attendance. As the number of pupils increases, the demands for improving individual educational methods increase as well , so that we are able to maintain the quality of education that we want to continue to provide and maintain at the highest possible level. Therefore, we need to learn from other schools and organizations that have more experience in this reagard.
